John Huey, the recently installed editor-in-chief of Time Inc., has lately been mulling over pushing out Jim Kelly, the managing editor of the company’s namesake title for the past five years. In addition to considering Newsweek’s Jon Meacham, Slate’s Jacob Weisberg, And Michael Kinsley, Huey’s been doing due diligence on Brown, floating the idea in conversations—though insiders insist he’s not serious about her. Kelly, whose magazine won for General Excellence at last week’s National Magazine Awards, adds, “I’m not worried about my job. I’m not going anywhere.” Next: Elliman-Corcoran Broker War
