Some of the residents of swanky One Beacon Court (a.k.a. the Bloomberg Building), which houses Le Cirque, along with hedge-fund king Steven A. Cohen and Yankee Johnny Damon, may be wishing they had moved into one of those co-ops that doesn’t allow celebrities. Although the building has a rule that no one is allowed to park at its entrance, fellow resident Beyoncé, and her boyfriend, Jay-Z, who have two black Escalades and a blue Maybach between them, continually have their vehicles stationed at the front door and staffed with drivers and burly bodyguards. According to one resident, the doormen seem frustratingly reluctant to press the issue. “One of those bodyguards is the biggest man I’ve ever seen,” notes another Beacon dweller. A building insider says that the matter was a central topic at the most recent board meeting, with some members suggesting that police come in to mediate. As of last week, the cars were no longer idling by the entrance. Reps for Beyoncé and Jay-Z wouldn’t comment.
