Eddie “Jean-Luc” Kleefield’s plan to turn his East Hampton eatery JL East into a steak-and-sushi spot (signature item: the “kobe maki roll”) called Prime 103 has Myles Chefetz, owner of Miami Beach nouveau steakhouse Prime 112 and its forthcoming Manhattan spinoff, steaming. “It’s obvious that this guy had an unsuccessful concept and is now changing it to a successful concept: mine. Why doesn’t he just call it Prime 27, after the highway it’s on?’’ Kleefield, who has three other hopping East End restaurants, explains, “103 is our address, and we’ll have live music on Fridays. We liked Prime 103 because it sounds like a radio station.”
