From a once-heir- apparent council speaker to a comeback-kid congressman to an anti-Bloomberg, this year’s crowded field of mayoral hopefuls has given New Yorkers plenty of memorable characters and at least one Afro with a Twitter account. It’s also left voters with much to consider when they pull the lever in Tuesday’s primaries. To get a feel for where voters are leaning, we canvassed parks and street corners in three of the five boroughs to find 100 New Yorkers* willing to stop long enough to give their thoughts on the contenders and why the tallest candidate often wins.
