The biscuit boss explained that the 100-year-old dunkable delights are in fact meant to be eaten chocolate-covered side facing down.
"One of the very first things I learnt when I got to join McVitie's was chocolate side down to eat the digestive," he shared during an interview with BBC Radio Manchester.
"Now, up until then, I'd always eaten it the other way round... You can do it exactly how you want to do it."

It's all to do with the idea that if the chocolate side is facing down, it starts to melt and people quickly get the flavour of the biscuit.
"It makes sense, right?" Mr Coulson said.
