Toe Job

Even in deepest winter, some people are losing sleep over … their toe cleavage? Well, that and Baghdad, of course. So, enter cosmetic foot surgeon Stuart Mogul, who shortens too-long (ugh!) toes by removing bone from a joint ($2,000), lengthens stubby ones with silicon ($2,500), and straightens crooked digits ($2,000). “Women who have gnarly feet want them pretty,” says Mogul. “They go to a shoe store and get depressed. They won’t even sit by a pool.” Mogul, who also treats painful deformities, finds the cosmetic work oh-so much more rewarding: “The satisfaction of these patients is light years beyond the satisfaction of patients who had those conditions.”

Toes too long? Too stubby? A real Dr. Scholl will make them beautiful.
