Go, directed by Doug Liman from a script by John August, is one of those Sundance specials that seems to incorporate just about everything on the current Young Turk-indie-producer checklist: It has drug deals and hip chicks and lap dancing, it has cartoon violence and real blood, it has L.A. and Vegas, it has a roll-back-the-hand-of-time dramatic structure. Liman (Swingers) is a virtuoso talent with a knack for locating the pulse of a scene, and he’s good with actors – Sarah Polley, as a chicklet set up by a narc, is especially tart. But finally, there’s nothing much to this movie except a lot of funky attitude.
