Moore Meat!

Julianne Moore knows flesh. Her portrayal of Clarice Starling in Hannibal gave new meaning to the term cerebral performance, and her Boogie Nights character wasn’t exactly one for academic pleasures. Now the strawberry-topped stunner and her director husband, Bart Freundlich, who have lived in the meatpacking district for years, have reaffirmed their stake in the neighborhood: They just dropped $2.65 million on a four-bedroom penthouse condo upstairs from their current digs. (Halstead’s Robin and Nancy Horowitz brokered the deal.) The couple have hired Bart’s brother Oliver, an architect, to do a gut renovation of the 3,200-square-foot place. Why’d they stay put? It’s just a guess, but Pastis, just around the corner, does offer a toothsome steak.
