Main Squeeze
A posh squeegee? Well, when it’s InterDesign’s classy redo, that adjective applies. This Ohio company has been creating innovative bath products for more than 25 years: The current phobia over streaks and grime on shower doors led to the creation of this stainless-steel beaut. It’s guaranteed not to rust, and it will leave your shower (mirrors too) spotless ($12).

Your grandmother probably tied a silk rose on the handle of her Ventura suitcase to distinguish it from others on the luggage carousel. Raika (a California designer of small leather goods) has a better way – embossed lizard luggage tags in sassy colors. They’re eye-catching and rather swank, so your black rolling Pullman will immediately stand out from all the clones. Thanks, too, to Raika, your travels can now be color-coordinated: The company makes matching ticket and passport holders (luggage tag, $12; passport holder, $30; travel wallet, $72).

Yashica’s Socius weighs in at 4.2 ounces, making it the world’s lightest 2X zoom camera around; it’s also one of the smallest. Yet the Socius offers more than just the convenience of fitting in your shirt pocket: It has five flash modes (among them red-eye reduction and night portrait), three print sizes (including panoramic), and a full array of functions (like double portrait, which means if you want a pic of you and your friends, simply hold the camera in front of you with outstretched arms and click away). Better still, it doesn’t require an advanced degree to use it, and the resulting photos are superior to those of most other compacts ($199).

The Clay’s the Thing
TriBeCa potter Judy Jackson’s pared-down ceramics owe a debt to the Arts and Crafts movement: The organic shapes and matte glazes that distinguish that aesthetic infuse her work. She calls her ribbed tumblers and stacking mixing bowls the Basics, and they’re so adaptable no kitchen should be without some (from $15 for a small tumbler to $35 for a large mixing bowl).

High-Grade Specs
Tommy Hilfiger’s new specs are sure to be deemed buzzworthy by the post-Pokémon set. They come in all the must-have styles: metal-rimmed, two-tone plastic, sport wrap, aviator, pastel lenses. But parents will like them, too, since they offer 100 percent UV protection and their polycarbonate lenses are shatterproof. Hilfiger’s sunglasses are so sensibly priced, parents may even spring for more than a single pair ($17).
