Dirty Blonde (or Brunette…)

Posted January 19, 2005
My hair is like a teen pop star: cute but very badly behaved. Since I can’t send my curls to rehab, I tried the next best thing: Mud. It seems some of Manhattan’s best tressed are using this Green Silt Scrub from Korres, the Greek answer to Kiehl’s. Never mind that it’s made with detoxified dirt—the cleanser claims to restore moisture and vitamins to the scalp, while carrying grime out of the hair. And even though the Silt Scrub looked goopy and gross, I was desperate enough to try it. After coating my hair and scalp, I killed 10 minutes in the shower, then rinsed and shampooed. What happened was nothing short of a minor miracle—my hair was shiny, sleek, and totally gorgeous. It dried frizz free and looked amazing. If my hair’s always going to look this good after using the Silt Scrub, I’m happy to be a dirty girl any time—or, as the directions on tube say, once a week.
