The Glenlivet French Oak Finish 1983 has been quietly steeping in its casks since Reagan’s first term. Just released, it’s incredibly smooth (it won’t burn your nose hairs off with the first sip), with an underlying spiciness and a rich oak finish (a result of aging in American and French oak). In our informal taste tests, it got a resounding “two thumbs up” from a variety of very opinionated drinkers ($200).
