Kiton Corp. chairman Massimo Bizzocchi’s new self-titled store (433 W. 14th St., nr. Ninth Ave.; 212-675-4055), opening March 28, goes deeper into European men’s fashion than Barneys New York or Bergdorf Goodman. Alongside the house label’s English-dandy-meets-old-fashioned-mafioso plaid suits (from $1,600), there are button-downs by Lorenzini, leather outerwear by Gallotti, and knitwear by Andrea Fenzi.
Back in 1998, girlshop.com introduced stylish, spunky women to then-obscure indie labels like Hollywould and Jussara Lee. Now there’s Girlshop (819 Washington St., nr. Little W. 12th St.; 212-255-4985), a playful glass-fronted store carrying clothes and accessories from Amy Chan, Kenneth Jay Lane, Louis Verdad, and more. Guyshop and Totshop items will also be available.
Also: Dashing Diva, known for cocktails as well as manicures and pedicures, has a second store (1341 Second Ave., nr. 70th St.; 212-570-0770). And Brooklyn Industries (100 Smith St., nr. Atlantic Ave., Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn; 718-596-3986) is officially a chain, with a fifth outlet for hoodies and coats (around $118).
