To raise money for HIV research, the Community Research Initiative on AIDS (CRIA) has come up with an ingenious sale (which is also a find for contemporary-art lovers). Artists Kiki Smith, Donald Baechler, Pat Steir, Sandro Chia, George Condo, and others will be offering a series of original signed works on paper for $300 each. Doctors of the World – a group that sends volunteer physicians and nurses all over the globe – has a fun catalogue of items to benefit the group’s humanitarian efforts. The Little Orchestra Society helps to foster kids’ interest in classical music.
