All-Star Lineup Announced for 17th Annual New York Taste Presented by Citi

New York Magazine’s 17th annual edition of its signature culinary event New York Taste Presented by Citi will be held on Tuesday, November 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Waterfront in New York City. Hosted by New York culinary editor Gillian Duffy, the event features more than 40 celebrated chefs and rising stars on the New York City restaurant scene, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to City Harvest to help fight hunger in New York City. The tasting event will feature world-renowned talent offering samples of signature dishes and drinks, including Markus Glocker (Bâtard), Justin Smillie (Upland), Heather Pelletier (Osteria Morini), Bryce Shuman and Eamon Rockey (Betony), Sam Mason (OldFellows Ice Cream Co.), Joe Ng (Red Farm), Julie Reiner (Leyenda), JJ Johnson (The Cecil), Cédric Vongerichten (Perry St), Bobby Schaffer (Blue Hill at Stone Barns), and Jamie Bissonnette and Ken Oringer (Toro), among many others.

New York is also hosting the sixth annual Grub Street Food Festival on Sunday, October 18, in partnership with Hester Street Fair and sponsored by Citi, featuring more than 60 street-food vendors, live music, games, and a beer garden showing Sunday’s football games. Taking place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the corner of Essex and Hester streets on the Lower East Side, the event has free admission, with guests paying as they go to vendors serving pizza, lobster rolls, barbecue, doughnuts, coffee, sandwiches, and other street-food favorites.

New York Taste Presented by Citi hosts over 1,000 guests at the Waterfront, located at 269 11th Avenue, with general-admission tickets costing $100. VIP tickets cost $195 and include admission to a special preview hour (6–7 p.m.), access to the VIP lounge, and a VIP gift bag filled with a variety of products, including culinary tools. As an exclusive benefit for Citi cardholders, New York’s chief restaurant critic Adam Platt will host a Q&A at the event with Dan Barber, co-owner and executive chef of Blue Hill and Blue Hill at Stone Barns and a member of the City Harvest Food Council.
