Kate Miller Spencer Named Midwest/Texas Director at New York Media

New York Media publisher Larry Burstein announced today that Kate Miller Spencer is joining the team as Midwest/Texas advertising director, overseeing sales efforts in the region via her rep firm Miller Media Sales, for integrated buys across New York Magazine and print special issues; digital properties including Vulture, the Cut, and Grub Street; and signature events including Vulture Festival and New York Taste.

“Kate is the perfect seller to strengthen our properties in the Midwest,” says Burstein. “A native Minnesotan whose parents subscribed to New York, she understands the national impact of the print product, and national footprint of our digital brands.”

Spencer has run Miller Media Sales, Inc., since 1997, representing titles including Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure, and Departures. She launched Dennis Publishing in the U.S. (Maxim, The Week) and represented its digital properties in the market. Prior to founding her own firm, she held sales positions at Bon Appétit, Family Life, and Details.
