New York Magazine today launched Intelligencer (nymag.com/intelligencer) — a new site covering politics, business, technology, media, and innovation — with an all-star roster of news and opinion writers. Intelligencer brings together the Daily Intelligencer and Select All brands, while building out new coverage areas. The site launches with an inventive new home page that curates the best and most thoughtful commentary from around the web, as well as a quick chat component where Intelligencer’s writers and editors will converse about the day’s events.

“Intelligencer brings together the smartest writers on everything from climate change to technology’s impact on our lives, with a home page we aim to make a destination,” says New York editor-in-chief Adam Moss. “Readers can come to understand the narrative of the day, but also delve into big ideas.”

New regular contributors to Intelligencer will include Michelle Celarier, Adrian Chen, Noah Kulwin, Bethany McLean, Collier Meyerson, Corey Robin, and Yves Smith, joining the existing team of staff and contributors that includes Josh Barro, Irin Carmon, Jonathan Chait, Zak Cheney-Rice, Justin Davidson, Gabriel Debenedetti, Cristian Farias, Brian Feldman, David Freedlander, Benjamin Hart, Heather Hurlburt, Sarah Jones, Ed Kilgore, Madison Malone Kircher, Will Leitch, Eric Levitz, Park MacDougald, Olivia Nuzzi, Max Read, Frank Rich, Jonah Shepp, Jesse Singal, Andrew Sullivan, Jake Swearingen, Rebecca Traister, and David Wallace-Wells.

Intelligencer is launching with a new, limited-run podcast called 2038, exploring what life will look like 20 years from now. Each episode will explore a different vision — flying driverless cars, an internet cold war, a Chinese world order — featuring experts in business, technology, climate science, and beyond who will defend their predictions in conversation with editors Max Read and David Wallace-Wells.

Scott Rudin Productions is Intelligencer’s launch sponsor, and there’ll also be upcoming campaigns from premium TV and technology brands, among others.

“I’m excited to bring this new offering to our brand partners, presenting an inventive new user experience, expanded subject areas, and greater scale,” says CRO and publisher Avi Zimak.
