New York Media and Brookfield Place are partnering on “New York Presented by Brookfield Place,” a new three-part event series that will bring New York’s signature voice to the stage for a thoughtful, curious, obsessive, and influential Brookfield audience. The events highlight the prominent New York Media publications Intelligencer, Vulture, and the Cut and will include “Intelligencer Live: ‘Our Warmer Future,’”Vulture Presents ‘Comedians vs. Critics: Emmys Debate Live,’” and “The Cut’s ‘How I Get It Done.’” All the events will take place at Brookfield Place, 230 Vesey Street.

The series kicks off September 5 with “Intelligencer Live: ‘Our Warmer Future,’” which brings together climate-justice essayist and NRDC director of publications Mary Heglar, Inconspicuous Consumption author Tatiana Schlossberg, and Brooklyn Grange co-founder and CEO Ben Flanner for a discussion moderated by New York deputy editor David Wallace-Wells about what life will look like in 2039 through the lens of food. “Intelligencer Live” will be followed by “Vulture Presents ‘Comedians vs. Critics Emmys Debate Live’” on September 17, which will bring Vulture’s signature humor and obsessiveness to life with a game pitting a team of critics against a team of comedians as they face off on this year’s Emmy Award contenders. On October 24, the series will wrap up with the Cut’s signature column and recurring event series “How I Get It Done,” bringing a panel of successful women together to discuss their daily routines, their trip-ups, and how they make their busy lives happen.

“This gives us the opportunity to bring three of New York’s signature brands to life for an exciting and thought-provoking public forum,” says New York Media chief marketing officer Jackie Cinguina. “We are excited to offer Brookfield Place visitors the opportunity to experience New York’s thoughtful voice on an array of important and interesting topics,” says Callie Haines, senior vice-president, asset management, at Brookfield Properties. “Our aim at Brookfield Place is to create unique experiences and events that bring the community together. We are proud to partner with New York on this curated event series and are looking forward to continuing this new collaboration that adds a compelling layer to our existing programming for the fall season.”
