Solving Virgin Media TV (Cable) television faults

Virgin Media TV provides TV and radio channels through a cable directly connected to the home and problems are rare. Virgin Media TV (Cable) service is often bundled with broadband internet access.

To get services, you need a cable television receiver and a subscription to a cable provider. Cable is available in many parts of the country, but mainly cities.

While problems with cable are rare, the following may help:

Cables

Check that all the cables are connected securely. If you still have no picture, try disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI or SCART cable from the TV to the cable receiver. It sounds odd, but often works!

Cable service

Check with your cable operator to see whether there are any problems in your area.

Is the receiver working?

Try switching off your cable TV receiver from the mains and then leave for 10 minutes. Turn on again and see if it then works.
