On 7 June 2023 we were able to put BBC One HD and BBC Two HD in prime slots 1 and 2 for newer Freeview Play televisions when connected to the internet (we refer to these below as ‘qualifying TVs’).
Previously, BBC One HD and BBC Two HD were listed at slots 101 and 102 and, for most devices, that existing listing will continue to be duplicated (BBC One HD would be at slot 1 and 101, etc.)
For qualifying TVs, the standard definition versions of BBC One and BBC Two will be listed in 611 and 612 respectively.
Below is a list of television brands (and release years) for qualifying TVs which can process the swapping when the TV is connected to the internet.

To check if your TV is qualifying, please go to channel 100 (the ‘Freeview Explore’ service) on your Freeview Play device and select “Get Help" from the "Help and Settings" section. In the bottom right hand corner of the screen, you will see a collection of numbers and letters which are the ‘Freeview Play platform ID’ – if that ID appears in the list above, then your TV should be able to process the swapping when connected to the internet.
It is worth noting that If you disconnect your TV from the internet, the enhanced channel listing will be lost and the listing will revert to BBC One and BBC Two in SD at the top of the EPG.
