A Succinct Quote on the Perks of Living Alone

On today’s episode of the wonderful WNYC podcast “Death, Sex and Money,” host Anna Sale interviews listeners who called in with their stories about living alone, whether by choice or circumstance. Anyone’s who’s lived by themselves for any length of time knows that it can get lonely, but on the upside, you get to be the purest version of you — sometimes, this also means you are the weirdest version of you. See, for example, this quote from a woman who lives on her own and told Sale: “When I moved into my place by myself, I probably spent the first few weeks in a tank top and underwear. Until it got a little bit colder, and then I’d put socks on.” Oh, and there’s also a guy she talks to who admits to baking a blackberry pie until three in the morning. It’s worth a listen!
