"Michael had shown us a few of his most valuable, unique objects, and they became part of the architecture," says Hariri. To create display space, the architects added a second set of steps outside the
dining room, in white lacquer and stainless steel. The topmost step holds an
ancient Buddha head from Aram's collection. The kitchen doors, at left, are
closed.
The table and the wood-and-steel bench at right were designed by Aram; his
products are available at Barneys New York, at Bloomingdale's, and via his
Website (www.michaelaram.com).
