Signature: The Indulgent, a 10-minute essential-oils hand massage, exfoliation, and polish ($30).

Why Century 21? My husband [co-founder Joe] and I have had a good relationship with them, especially since 9/11; we were among the first stores down here to reopen after the attacks. We’ll be on the lower level, right by housewares.
How did you decide which products would follow you? Pairing down from 50,000 square feet to 1,500 really changes things. We used to carry every price point of every product. Now, products that interact with a smartphone we’re keeping: Sonos, GoPro, Fitbit. We used to have 50 camera models, but the new store’s just going to have 12 SLRs. But we’re still going to carry vinyl and turntables. It’s the young kids who want the vinyl.
Pop-up of the Month
An alternative for those who get heart palpitations at big-box stores: Starting November 5 through the holidays, Target will be featuring a selection of its wares at Rachel Shechtman’s Chelsea gallery-shop Story (144 Tenth Ave.).
