Lightbulbs are inherently about function, not beauty. But British furniture designer Samuel Wilkinson has created a sinuous version that is as attractive as it is long-lasting. Just in from the U.K. this week, the 120-volt Plumen bulb ($29.95 at Future Perfect, 55 Great Jones St., nr. Bowery; 212-473-2500) has the same life span as a regular helix-shaped compact fluorescent light, and screws into any standard lamp. It just looks hotter doing it.
