The Power of Three

The freedom tower has barely nudged above sea level, but the retail scene of the financial district is beginning to take off. With bonuses swelling and fancy condos popping up, lower Manhattan shopping is suddenly an interesting high-low grab bag, where Hermès (4,000 square feet, June 21 opening), Thomas Pink (3,000 square feet, June 25 opening), and Tiffany & Co. (7,600 square feet, opening this fall) will be the neighbors of less-tony stalwarts like Bolton’s, J&R Music World, and, of course, the beloved Century 21. Here, a forecast of the new neighborhood.
