Barneys New York

The fourth-floor shoe department has high-end footwear from designers like Manolo Blahnik and Vera Wang (starting prices range from $300 to $650). Bridal styles are grouped together, so comparing and contrasting is a breeze.

BCBG Max Azria
770 Madison Ave., at 66th St.
212-717-4225
120 Wooster St., nr. Prince St.
212-625-2723
bcbg.com

Brides who won't settle for simple go for BCBG's playful, sexy, and decidedly unconventional shoes. Choose from an open-toe backless heel in satin ($168), a platinum treated-leather design that ties at the ankle ($160), or a pointed-toe slingback in tradition-breaking black satin ($182).

Bergdorf Goodman
754 Fifth Ave., nr. 57th St.
212-753-7300
bergdorfgoodman.com

This store has the city's most concise collection of sleek, stylish shoes, so it's no surprise that the bridal salon has just a smattering of the most covetable styles from designers Christian Louboutin and Badgley Mischka (from $400). If you're into color, the second floor has Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, and Rene Caovilla. There's also a large Manolo Blahnik selection.

Beverly Feldman
7 W. 56th St., nr. Fifth Ave.
212-484-0000
beverlyfeldmanshoes.com

Feldmans festive collection of eye-catching bridal shoes isnt as splashy as the rest of her designs, but it still provides a fun, fashionable twist. Youll find strappy sandals with Swarovski crystals, satin slingbacks with rhinestone buckles, and open-toe satin pumps with grosgrain bows, all under $310.

Bloomingdale's
1000 Third Ave., nr. 59th St.
212-705-2000
bloomingdales.com

You'll have a devil of a time getting someone to help you here, but the second floor is the city's best source for relatively inexpensive bridal shoes from Caparros (from $85) and BCBG (around $200). The smaller (and calmer) designer department on the fourth floor is a different world-depending on the season, you can find white and silver shoes from Stuart Weitzman and Chanel.

Bridal Suite of Manhattan
286 Fifth Ave, nr. 30th St., fifth fl.
212-764-3040
bridalsuitenyc.com

At this one-stop bridal shop, Grazia, Salon, Fenaroli for Regalia, Yoriko Powell, and Grace are the resident shoe labels. They come in a variety of styles, from satin stilettos and pumps with ankle straps to jeweled thongs (from $75).

Christian Louboutin
941 Madison Ave., nr. 74th St.
212-396-1884

Louboutin's precious, special blue-soled bridal shoes aren't for bashful dressers. But they come in an array of colors and are fabulous accents to a big white dress; bridal styles are outrageously feminine and romantic. We love the white satin slingback stilettos ($500).

Constana Basto
573 Hudson St., nr. W. 11th St.
212-645-3233

This orange-striped storea Brazilian importhas glam silver shoes that will spruce up traditional gowns, while the official bridal selection has white satin sandals with crystals ($349), high-heel gold stilettos ($369), and the like.

Designer Shoe Warehouse
40 E. 14th St., third fl.
212-674-2146
dswshoe.com

With new shipments pouring in weekly, the Union Square outpost of this Ohio-based chain offers more than 30,000 shoes for your review. All styles are current-season and prices are discounted significantly, but customer service is negligible and bridal shoes are slopped together with all evening shoes. With patience and luck, do-it-yourself brides, flea-market fiends, and other hardy shoppers can dive for bargain pearls.

Eric Shoes
1333 Third Ave., nr. 76th St.
212-288-8250
1222 Madison Ave., nr. 88th St.
212-289-5762

Eric Shoes does the footwork for you: It scours the city looking for fashionable designer shoes that are suitable for the big day, then displays its finds in its Upper East Side shop. Try on styles from Cynthia Rowley, Vanessa Noel, Pan Caldi, and Stuart Weitzman. New styles arrive every few weeks. Prices range from $95 to $325.

Fratelli Rossetti
625 Madison Ave., at 58th St.
212-888-5107
rossetti.it

This smart Italian shop is best known for its conservative mens footwear, but it also sells some very chic womens shoes. Theres a nice assortment of white styles, including three-inch heels with a silver-and-white suede-and-leather design ($375) and cute slingbacks with a rhinestone bow on the toe ($390).

Galo Shoes
825 Lexington Ave., at 63rd St.
212-832-3922
1296 Third Ave., nr. 74th St.
212-288-3448
895 Madison Ave., nr. 72nd St.
212-744-7936
galoshoes.com

Whether you're looking for sexy three-inch heels or plain pumps, Galo is a good place to start. The private label carries white dyeable satin mules, pumps, and slingbacks at prices so reasonable ($90-$245) you won't feel bad if you never wear them again.
