These days, bigwigs like Maya Angelou, Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton, and Toni Morrison come to her for whimsical arrangements that play with a multitude of textures and arresting colors (green orchids are a favorite). Dana Worlock’s youthful, sophisticated designs all contain her signature mix of unusual combinations of flora. She’s heavy on texture and color and focused on the relationship between each element—right down to its hip container. Her lush, monochromatic style has a modern touch (bouquets feature sculpted cherry blossoms or an abundance of succulents, for instance). She typically charges $5,000 to $25,000 for an entire wedding; bouquets and centerpieces start at $175.

This collective, composed of founder Bridget Vizoso and about eight floral aficionados, offers a range of styles, from lavish Thai leis to monochromatic, texturally inspired bouquets. She does small weddings as well as over-the-top events like Nan Kempner’s 50th anniversary at the New York Botanical Garden, where Bosquet-Morra filled a tent with trees and turned the dance floor into a French garden.
