In 2003, La-Z-Boy helped Todd Oldham unleash his bright, zany fashion sensibility on a home-furnishing line. Now the first Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy store brings his polka-dot ottomans and fuchsia chairs to Soho (73 Wooster St., nr. Spring St.; 212-226-4908). Besides graphic two-toned sofas like the Diamond Flyer and Viva, there’s also a cheery selection of striped candles, bamboo-leaf lamps, and clocks.

JackRabbit Sports takes a high-tech approach to sneakers: Staff will analyze your stride on a video treadmill to ensure the perfect fit. Like its Brooklyn counterpart, the new Manhattan store (42 W. 14th St., nr. Fifth Ave.; 212-727-2980) stocks gear for cycling, running, and swimming from brands like Asics, New Balance, and Pearl Izumi.
