To celebrate its 155th anniversary, Bally has transformed the stale white interior of its flagship (628 Madison Ave., at 59th St.; 212-751-9082) into a rich, warm space (pictured) filled with bouclé couches, leather tables, and brown velvet rugs. There’s also a women’s shoe collection inspired by vintage Bally and exclusive to the Madison Avenue store.
Hotel gift shops just got a bit jazzier with the opening of Annie O. inside the Hotel on Rivington (105 Rivington St., nr. Ludlow St.; 212-475-3490). While the W New York Store has cute handbags and tanks, Annie O. ups the ante by offering everything from basic toothbrushes to vintage Rolex watches.
