The year is off to an auspicious start for the city’s pampered class. January 13 marks the U.S. debut of the Lush spa (783 Lexington Ave., at 61st St.; 212-207-8151), from the U.K.-bred purveyor of cheeky handmade bath products. The space channels the Oxfordshire countryside with jars of wildflowers in the consultation area, whimsical treatments such as the nautical-themed Good Hour massage ($180) and post-service rum-spiked tea. The launch follows two other new oases: Elizabeth Arden’s Union Square Red Door Spa (200 Park Ave. S., nr. 17th St.; 212-388-0222) is a 10,000-square-foot Xanadu specializing in express services like a fifteen-minute collagen eye refresher ($25). And nestled in Tribeca’s Aqua studio, an outpost of the Hamptons La Don spa (78 Franklin St., nr. Church St.; 212-966-6784) offers treatments from aesthetician to the stars Thuyen Nguyen, including the Instant-Lift ($205 for 50 minutes)—a facial that uses the ancient methodof cupping to tighten wrinkles.
