Since its launch three years ago, Warby Parker, e-tailer extraordinaire of $95 retro-collegiate eyeglasses (prescription lenses included), has toyed with showrooms, annexes, and pop-ups. The glaring omission? A permanent storefront, which the cult brand finally unveils April 13 in Soho (121 Greene St., nr. Prince St.; 646-568-3720). Eighteen-foot floor-to-ceiling shelves are packed with 250-plus pairs of handcrafted acetate frames for men and women. Rolling ladders and a selection of books from independent presses enhance the New York Public Library–inspired design, while a green-screen photo booth helps shoppers determine which pairs best suit their face. Eye exams are $50 flat and offered seven days a week.
