With nineties nostalgia reaching a fever pitch in the fashion world—not to mention next week’s Super Bowl set in the city’s backyard—it just might be the perfect comeback moment for the iconic Starter jacket, once an adolescent’s ultimate signifier of cool. On the heels of a $40 million renovation, the Paramount Hotel will host the Starter Clubhouse (235 W. 46th St., nr. Broadway; 212-764-5500) through February 9, selling varsity-style satin jackets logoed with a range of NBA, MLB, and NFL teams ($100 each), including, of course, the Broncos and the Seahawks. The space, which mimics an actual clubhouse with signed jerseys and candid shots of Larry Bird and Mike Ditka on display, is also stocked with a special-edition Super Bowl XLVIII jacket ($100), as well as sweatshirts and snapback hats made in collaboration with streetwear designers like Dee & Ricky and Grizzly (from $30).
