Formula 1 seems to be the flavor of the month right now. Netflix’s Drive to Survive documentary series has certainly helped to boost interest in F1 in the U.S. and the upcoming addition of the Cadillac team to the F1 grid for 2026 will only generate more fans. Oh and we can’t forget about the upcoming Brad Pitt movie ‘F1,’ which only adds to the sports intrigue. More on that later.

The new game is compatible with PS5 and XBox

And with a Lewis Hamilton sprint race win for Ferrari in China, a new collaboration with Lego, the entry onto the grid of four rookie drivers this year, and a last minute swap of Yuki Tsunoda to take Liam Lawson’s seat at Red Bull, things are definitely shaping up to be a season like no other. Now, EA Sports, a division of Electronic Arts, is entering the frey with a brand new video game that’s compatible to Playstation, Xbox, or PC. You just need quick reflexes if you want to take control and try wheel-to-wheel racing yourself.

The new game stars Lewis Hamilton

F1 25 will launch on May 27 from EA Sports with the goal of capturing all the action of the 2025 season in a digital environment that gamers can immerse themselves in. The trailer, which stars Lewis Hamilton in his new role at Ferrari—easily the most significant F1 story this year—shows the Brit driver racing against a fictitious rookie, which would be you.

F1 25 includes laser-scanned, incredibly lifelike, millimeter-perfect replicas of numerous authentic F1 tracks in addition to all of the expected teams and drivers from this year. The driver career mode allows you to join the race for the World Championship, and the 2023 dramatised Braking Point series is back. In the latter storyline, the fictional Konnersport team advances from being a midfield contender to competing for victories.

The game will also include gameplay inspired by the upcoming Brad Pitt film F1, which will be released by Apple this summer, in order to enhance the entire F1 experience. Playable movie chapters will become available in-game after the film opens.
