Chase Freedom adds surprise bonuses
Earn bonus points when using Chase Freedom and Freedom Flex cards this month.
gettyThroughout the month, the brand is celebrating its 15th anniversary by offering more opportunities to earn its 5x bonus point opportunities when using the Chase Freedom or Freedom Flex cards. In addition to its quarterly bonuses on rotating categories, it is also adding insurance and tax preparation services if purchased using the card before the end of the month. These expenses can be quite high and result in a notable increase in points earning. The bonus points are eligible on up to $1,500 in spending.
Transfer bonuses galore
British Airways uses Avios points as its loyalty currency.
gettyThere are a lot of opportunities to move points from your credit card balance to several frequent flyer programs. If you have Chase Ultimate Rewards, you can earn a 20% bonus when transferring to Aer Lingus, British Airways or Iberia. Within these programs, you can then move those points to other Avios-participating airlines like Finnair and Qatar Airways. This bonus is valid through the month of March.

gettyCiti ThankYou points can also be moved from your Citi account to Qatar Airways with a 20% bonus between now and March 15. American Express has its own transfer bonus offering 20% to move points from Membership Rewards to Qatar Airways any time this month.
If it’s hotel points you’re after, Chase Ultimate Rewards has a special promotion with Marriott Bonvoy this month offering a 50% bonus on all transfers. Chase points are very valuable, and this is not the best use of those points. But, if you are short on Marriott points for an upcoming reservation, this could be the right time to transfer them. Between now and March 14, you can also swap American Express Membership Rewards points to Hilton Honors with a 25% bonus.
Capital One adds new transfer partner

gettyCapital One Rewards are now even more valuable thanks to its newest transfer partner, JetBlue’s TrueBlue program. You can move points from Capital One to JetBlue at a ratio of 5 credit card points to 3 airline miles.
United opens new Club Fly lounge
United is the first U.S. airline to offer a grab-and-go concept.
UnitedIf you have a United Club membership or the United Club Infinite Card that comes with lounge access, you have a new lounge option in Houston. The United Club Fly lounge is a grab-and-go facility offering specialty coffee, non-alcoholic drinks, sandwiches, packages snacks, salads and pastries to enjoy on your flight. This is the second Club Fly lounge in the United Club network following its first opening in Denver. The new lounge is on the south side of Terminal B and has some drinks that are unique to Houston like the Lavender Matcha Latte and Blueberry Acai “Galaxy” Latte.
Chase adds Philadelphia to lounge network
This lounge has areas with plentiful natural light and airport views as well as more speakeasy-style bar areas.
ChaseChase Sapphire Lounge by The Club has a new club in Philadelphia despite being a long walk from most gates for American Airlines travelers, the primary occupant of the airport. A short elevator ride or stairway up to the lounge takes travelers to a stunning lounge with a beautiful cocktail bar and day spa with complimentary facial treatments. There is also a video game play area, work space, brewery with local beers honoring the historic Blue Anchor Tavern and locally roasted coffee from Elixr Coffee.
Capital One opens new lounge in Las Vegas
One of the most popular features about Capital One lounges is its grab-and-go offering, something other lounges eschew.
Capital OneGrowing its network of lounges, Capital One now has a new, art-filled space in Las Vegas to greet its cardholders. This is the fourth airport lounge for the brand. It features locally sourced ingredients on its menu including things like chili crisp sweet potato hash and caviar deviled eggs. It also has a grab-and-go selection for travelers in a hurry and want to have a snack along their journey. Local micro roaster Vesta Micro Roaster provides the drip coffee selection. New for the Capital One lounge network is the ability to add wellness boosts to drinks like “nano potassium, purple passionflower, nano magnesium, ashwagandha or liposomal vitamin c.”
American Express Member Week comes back

While the brand has not revealed the specific details of what’s on offer, you can find them in your online account.
