Can I change the quality of my downloads?

Yes, you can. Here's how:

BBC Sounds app

Android

  1. Tap on My Sounds
  2. Select the Settings cog in the top right corner
  3. Tap on 'Downloads'
  4. Choose from 'Best for disk space,' 'Best all rounder,' or 'Best for the best.'

iOS

  1. On the homepage, tap your initial on the top right hand corner
  2. Choose 'Downloads'
  3. Select from 'Best for disk space,' 'Best all rounder,' or 'Best for the best.'

BBC Sounds website

  1. Find the podcast you'd like to download (the following page will help with this: How do I download a podcast episode from the website?)
  2. When you select Download, you'll be able to choose which file quality you'd like to download: Higher Quality or Lower Quality
