We know that Cyber Monday can be overwhelming, so in the interest of saving you time with just the deals you’d actually want, our editors will each be selecting just one great discounted thing (okay, plus a few honorable mentions) that you should really spend your money on. By this point, all sales are overwhelming. We get that. So if you really want to make the most of what’s available this Cyber Monday with just one purchase, buy Parachutes’s Down Alternative Fiber bed. The first reason is that it’s the best plush mattress topper, period. One that just envelops your whole body in a light and airy three inches of cloudlike fluff that remains evenly distributed throughout nights and weeks and months, thanks to a stitched box construction.
But why today of all days? The thing about a lot of the stuff we write about here on the Strategist is that just about everything goes on sale eventually. Wait long enough and you’ll see the toothbrushes and bags and even the rarely-discounted Drunk Elephant products on sale. But that’s not so with this mattress topper. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen it on sale before this. It’s only 20 percent off, which isn’t a crazy, oh my god deal, but it’s a rare better price for something you really should buy anyway (and it’s way cheaper than buying a whole new mattress, but with similar effects) which makes it actually worth buying today, of all days.
This isn’t always such a practical approach, but I hate spending over, like, $80 on sweaters, even if they’re really nice and comfy. This lifestyle choice generally stops me from most purchases (which is kind of the point of it), but today this Uniqlo cashmere is $60 and I would stock up before it’s gone.
I wrote about Oak’s great earring selection last week and everything there is still 50 percent off, which is just so crazy to me. I think you get the most bang for your buck there with an under-$300 leather jacket, which is available in classic rider jacket style, in suede, and in camel.
