Since Cyber Monday coincided with our trusty beauty obsessive Rio Viera-Newton’s vacation to Japan, we thought we’d give her a break — despite the fact that it’s the best sale day of the year. But then we caught her posting on her Instagram Story from Japan about everything she wanted from Soko Glam’s 30 percent off sale, and remembered that Rio doesn’t take breaks from scouring the internet for under-eye concealers and snail-mucin-infused creams. So we badgered her into sending a list of what we should buy for cheap(er than usual), and she duly obliged, despite being 7,000 miles away and “on vacation.”
A note from Rio: With the exception of the Benton mask and the Cosrx Vitamin C Serum, I haven’t tried any of these products before.
Haven’t heard a thing about this, purely bought it because it’s the same shade blue as my Tatcha recovery cream. This also promises to calm irritated skin with chamomile extract — love!Original Price: $25
I know cleaning wipes aren’t supposed to be the best things for makeup removal, but seeing as these were made with rice and promised “brightening,” I had to give them a try.Original Price: $18
I’ve heard nothing but good things about this 50 SPF sunscreen from Missa. I’m in the middle of planning a vacation, so I bought this preemptively. Sunscreen tends to make me breakout, so if that happens with this one, I’ll just have to go ahead and light myself on fire.Original Price: $18
I love the original Clean It Zero, but this one is supposedly better for acne-prone skin. Can’t wait to try it!Original Price: $25
As you guys know, I need all the help I can get when it comes to color-correcting my under-eyes. This had great reviews and is much cheaper than my YSL Touche Éclat. Praying it’s as good.Original Price: $12
I love the lemon Neogen bio-peels, but I’ve gotten a lot of feedback on how the wine version is actually better. Thought this sale was a good opportunity to try them out!Original Price: $27
