It’s a mattress-buyer’s market right now. Some of our favorite mattress brands are celebrating the season with fall sales. You’ll get your pick of Purple, Casper, Avocado, and more at a bargain. Discounts range between 10 and 35 percent, for the most part, and while that might not sound like a lot, many of these queen-size mattresses would run you more than $1,000 at full price, so it could actually translate to hundreds of dollars in savings. If you like to try before you buy, lots of these companies have 100-night trials. We’ve tested each one, so check out our reviews — and don’t dillydally: Like fall, these deals won’t last forever.
The more expensive the mattress, the more you’ll save at Nolah. Between now and November 15, you can save between $250 and $700 on one of the company’s mattresses. We’ve said the original is a solid option for a “side-sleeper who moves around and skews hot.” You’ll also get two free pillows with your order. If you’re all set on mattresses, Nolah accessories — like adjustable bases, mattress toppers, and sheets — are also on sale.
Get up to 15 percent off on your entire Saatva order. The company extended its OktoberRest sale, which means you can take advantage of the discounts until October 11. Orders between $1,000 and $3,000 get 10 percent off, and most mattresses fall within that range, but if you want to spend more than $3,000 (by, say, throwing in a bed frame and bedding), you can take advantage of the full 15 percent discount. It’s applied automatically at checkout.
Layla kicked its fall sale off on the first day of the season and it runs through the October 18. The foam mattress is $150 off, and the coil-foam hybrid mattress, which we’ve tested, is $200 off. You get two free pillows with either one. Both are flippable, with one side of the mattress featuring a layer of softer memory foam and the other a layer of firmer foam. Strategist writer Tembe Denton-Hurst says this “makes it worth the investment, especially if you’re sharing a mattress with someone who prefers a different feel.”
During Leesa’s Fall Into Comfort sale, take 15 percent off its Original, Hybrid, and Legend mattresses. Of the Original mattress, Strategist editor Maxine Builder says, “This is a foam mattress, but a substantial one that offers excellent pressure relief.” She adds, “ It should suit all kinds of sleepers and is a good mattress for anyone who doesn’t want to overthink it.” If that’s not you, you can still save. All Leesa pillows, bases, and sheets are 10 percent off with code “COMFORT.” According to the ticker on the site, the last day to save is October 9.
Purple’s sale isn’t in celebration of fall but rather of an anniversary. The company is officially five years old, and to mark that milestone they are offering 10 percent off sitewide. You can save on one of our favorite firm-and-springy mattresses or on this beloved gel seat cushion. The sale ends October 13.
Aviya has extended its Labor Day sale way into fall. Until October 30, you can take $200 off its mattress with code “STRAT200.” Former Strategist writer Lori Keong tested the Luxury Firm version of this hybrid and was immediately taken by how plush and bouncy it was. “The innersprings are a big plus, but they’re buried far beneath the layers of foam,” Keong says. “I was amazed at just how propped-up and aligned my body felt while supine, yet how comfortably I slept thanks to the padding of the quilted foam top. “
There are just a few days left to save at Casper. During its fall sale, ending October 12, you can save up to 15 percent on mattresses and 10 percent on everything else. This applies to current models of the Original and Wave Hybrid mattresses, but the best savings will be on final-sale items, which are up to 50 percent off. If you aren’t interested in the slight modifications made to the inventory each year, a 2019 Wave Hybrid starts at $673, making it 50 percent off.
Using code “AUTUMN,” take $100 off Avocado’s latex and hybrid mattresses. Senior writer Liza Corsillo, who rolls in her sleep, says, “If you want a lot of support plus cushioning, Avocado is a foam-coil-hybrid mattress that will give you both.” The sale ends October 18, which is closer than you think, so don’t wait.
This is the biggest discount on the list. PlushBeds’ Natural Bliss mattress is already $1,200 off and comes with a free set of sheets, but when you use code “STRAT100,” you get an extra $100 off through October 28.
You can also save big on the Emma mattress this month. With code “STRAT50,” you get 50 percent off the mattress. It’s all foam and has a cooling layer on top. Strategist associate editor Louis Cheslaw says it’s “a solid choice for side-sleepers who get hot easily and like an all-foam mattress that skews soft.”
Through the end of the month, use code “STRAT400” to save $400 on a Birch mattress and get a set of free pillows. Builder sleep tested this mattress, and not only is it ecofriendly, it’s also plush and supportive.
Shopping with the Strategist has its perks. The average shopper will just get 15 percent off at Allswell’s fall sale, but since you checked here first, you know that using code “STRATEGIST” bumps the discount up to 20 percent, making the mattress just $540. This deal ends Monday.
The Nectar mattress by itself is $100 off, but when you bundle it with the cooling pillow, sheet set, and mattress protector — all of which is valued at $399 — you’re saving nearly $500. This sale ends October 10 at midnight.
How much you spend at Helix this month will determine how much you save. If you spend $600 and use code “STRAT100,” you get $100 off. If you spend $1,250 or more and use code “STRAT150,” you get $150 off. And if you spend $1,750 or more and use “STRAT 200,” you get $200 off. No matter which tier of savings your purchase falls under, you’ll get two free pillows too.
Everything is 20 percent off at Molecule when you use code “FALL20.” This applies to such mattresses as the Molecule 1, which we’ve slept on. Karen Iorio Adelson, a Strategist senior writer, says if you like a soft mattress, this is the one for you. And if you sleep hot, you’re in luck because Iorio Adelson “felt cool sleeping on the Molecule and never woke up sweaty.”
Get $100 off the Eight Sleep Pod mattress during the company’s fall sale. It’s one of the techier mattresses we’ve tested — it can track sleep stages, sleep duration, overall quality of sleep, heart-rate variability, and respiratory rate. You can set the temperature of the mattress on each side, so if you’re Goldilocks-level picky about the perfect temperature, this might be the mattress for you.
This mattress is popular among Strategist shoppers. You can select your desired firmness, it’s made with the environment in mind, and it’s 15 percent off during the fall sale. The slightly less expensive Alexander Signature Hybrid is also on sale. Former Strategist senior editor Anthony Rotunno described it as “a smooth transition into the world of foam mattresses for sleepers who also crave some springiness.”
Yogasleep, the makers of our favorite white-noise machine, also makes mattresses, and when you use code “STRAT15” you get 15 percent off. This is part of the company’s Falling Asleep sale, which applies to everything on the site until October 31.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
