It’s the Last Day to Shop Nordstrom’s (Very Good) Spring Sale

As deals writer, I’ve covered a whole slew of sales at Nordstrom over the past year. There was the Anniversary Sale, the Half-Yearly Sale, the Black Friday Sale, the Cyber Monday Sale, and the Winter Sale — all of which offered generally good (though modest) discounts on reliable brands and past-season styles. The retailer’s Spring Sale, however, is the best sales event I’ve seen yet: The styles are in-season, the sizes are plentiful, and the brands are vast. Strategist favorites like Levi’s Ribcage denim, Teva sandals, and Nike running shorts are all included, as are some lesser-known finds from brands like Wild One, Departo, and Five Two. Discounts range from 20 to 65 percent off (another reason why the Spring Sale reigns supreme), and everything automatically ships for free. The sale runs through the end of today, however, and items have already started selling out, so, as we say: Don’t dillydally. (And with Mother’s Day on the way, don’t forget to pick something out for Mom, too.)

Women’s

This water-resistant trench has a minimalist silhouette and a playful row of buttons down the back.

If you’re headed back to the office sometime soon, this genuine leather contrast-stitch tote bag is large enough to hold a notebook, laptop, or iPad.

Made of plated recycled brass, this chunky chain set is casual enough to wear with both dresses and jeans.

With adjustable shoulder straps for a customizable fit, this not-too-sweet satin camisole can easily be layered over a tee or turtleneck.

Wear it with this O-ring satin maxi skirt, still in stock in sizes 2 to 14.

These strappy heels from Marc Fisher — available in black, olive, cream, and the camel shown — will pair nicely with just about any formal dress.

The Strategist has long been fans of Wrangler’s rigid, figure-flattering denim for both men and women. This high-rise, straight-leg pair is sure to deliver.

An ideal layer for finicky weather, this stretchy crop cardigan can be worn on its own or buttoned over a camisole.

The Levi’s we’ve dubbed the “Goldilocks of jeans” are 50 percent off.

Any mom would appreciate a pair of buttery-soft pajamas for Mother’s Day.

Men’s

If your hiking boots could use an upgrade, these ones from Columbia can be worn year-round. They’re durable, waterproof, and paneled with mesh for extra ventilation.

Keep everything from dog-poop bags to face masks close with this L.L.Bean waist pack.

Here’s an office-friendly button-up that’s still in stock in sizes XS to XXL.

A summer essential for hikersbackpackers, and Strategist editors alike, Teva’s rarely discounted sandals can be worn for everything from bodega runs to backpacking trips.

It’s just about time to swap out your sweatpants for gym shorts. The sweat-wicking fabric and ventilated back on this pair from Nike will keep you cool and dry during your next run.

These nicer-than-Sperry boat shoes are still expensive on sale, but with a waterproof leather construction and extra-cushioned footbed, they’ll be well worth the splurge.

Home

Complete with a wooden spoon, two glass jars, a bamboo tray, and two Epsom salt blends, one reviewer says this handsome bath-salt set is their “go-to gift for bath-loving friends.” (We think moms would appreciate it, too.)

This sturdy cotton apron from Five Two has plenty of pockets and two built-in potholders.

Reviewers say this deeply discounted serrated knife does an “amazing job” cutting all types of bread (and tomatoes).

Made from dishwasher-safe stoneware, this mug from NYC-based brand Departo is just the right size for your morning cup of coffee.

The brand’s wabi-sabi-esque linen place mats — also available in cream — are on sale as well.

An under-$30 diffuser with a built-in timer and automatic shutoff (that looks nice, too).

You’ll want to leave this sculptural watering can out on the terrace.

And here’s a hand-stitched throw pillow that’s sure to make you (or Mom) smile.

Finally, an easy-to-clean, water-resistant dog leash from status-y (and Strategist-tested) pet brand Wild One.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
