While there will be plenty of great sales to shop this Fourth of July, none will likely offer more bang for your buck than the many mattress deals. Pretty much all of our favorite brands are offering serious discounts on mattresses, and many are throwing in extra savings on sheets, blankets, and pillows too. (If you’re not sure which mattress is right for you, check out our guide.) Read on for some of the best Fourth of July mattress deals, and note that the starting prices listed are for queen-size mattresses, though all of these are available in other sizes.
Allswell
Allswell, the maker of a very good firm mattress, is offering 20 percent off all mattresses with the code FIREWORKS20. This 12-inch-tall Luxe mattress has a hybrid coil-and-foam construction, while the 14-inch-tall Supreme has an additional temperature-regulating foam layer and Euro-style cotton pillow top.
Aviya
Aviya, which makes a mattress that former Strategist writer Lori Keong called “plush yet delightfully bouncy,” is offering $200 off mattresses and $50 off foundations with code STRAT200.
Avocado
Avocado, our pick for the most ecofriendly mattress, is offering several deals for Strategist readers: You can take $250 off the brand’s Organic Luxury Plush mattress with code JULY, and $100 off the Green, Vegan Hybrid, Latex, or Vegan Latex mattresses with code USA.
Bear
Bear is offering 30 percent off sitewide (including its temperature-regulating, muscle-soothing mattresses, which are ideal for athletes) when you purchase using the code JULY30 — and it’ll toss in two free cloud pillows. If you prefer a hybrid mattress, that’s also on sale.
Birch by Helix
Birch — the “all-natural” label by Helix, which makes mattresses that generally run soft — is offering $400 off its mattress and two free Eco-Rest pillows with the code STRAT400.
Casper
The mattress-in-a-box brand that started it all is offering up to $600 off mattresses and 50 percent off everything else with the code JULY422-A. Starting in July, Casper is offering the same deal, plus get the Original foam mattress for $995 with the code JULY422-B. While it’s not ideal for hot sleepers, former Strategist senior editor Margaret Rhodes says the Original foam mattress “for everyone else, you can’t go wrong.” If you prefer a hybrid, the Casper Wave Hybrid has both contoured foam and dome-shaped gel pods to provide ergonomic support for your back, neck, and shoulders. We also like the Casper Element Mattress — the brand’s most basic offering — that we’ve said makes a great choice for kids.
Cocoon by Sealy
Cocoon by Sealy is giving customers 35 percent off all mattresses, along with two free pillows and a set of sheets. This memory-foam mattress is surprisingly cool, and even without springs, this mattress offered enough support to alleviate back pain.
Eight Sleep
This Fourth of July, you can get $200 off Eight Sleep’s Sleep Pod or Sleep Pod Pro mattresses, no code necessary, plus $100 off the Pod Pro Cover. The Sleep Pod is a “smart” bed that can be set to cool or warm you as you sleep. It has an app you can use to track your sleep on your smartphone, and the Pro is a fancier version that includes a foam topper, ambient sensors to measure room temperature and local weather, so-called GentleRise wake-up technology, and twice the number of sensors for heart-rate monitoring. Eight Sleep is also offering 20 percent off all individual accessories with Pod or mattress-cover purchase.
Emma
This Fourth of July, you can snag the Emma mattress, which we called “a solid choice for side-sleepers who get hot easily,” for 38 percent off — no code required. But if you add the code STRATEGIST, you’ll get an extra 5 percent on top of these discounts, allowing for savings of up to 43 percent.
Helix
Helix has a tiered deal exclusively for Strategist readers: Get $100 off when you spend $600 or more on any mattress with code STRAT100; get $150 off when you spend $1,250 or more with code STRAT150; or get $200 off when you spend $1,750 or more with code STRAT200. Any purchase also includes two free microfiber Dream pillows.
Layla Sleep
Layla Sleep is offering $150 off its memory-foam mattress and $200 off its hybrid foam-and-coil mattress, and throwing in two free memory-foam pillows with any mattress purchase. Plus, the code STRATEGIST gives our readers an additional $10 off. In addition to those discounts, the company also has deals on weighted blankets, bamboo sheets, and pet beds.
Leesa
Leesa is offering up to $700 off its mattresses, depending on which size and type you choose. One of the best deals you can get is $200 off its original queen-size mattress, which Strategist editor Maxine Builder says “should suit all kinds of sleepers.” Plus, the brand is throwing in two free pillows and 20 percent off sheets with any mattress purchase.
Molecule
Molecule is taking up to 30 percent off sitewide with the code JULY4TH, including its Molecule Hybrid mattress, which delivers five times the airflow of traditional memory foam to keep sleepers cool. If you’re happy with your mattress but want to upgrade your entire bedding situation, you can also receive 20 percent off sheets, pillows, and other accessories.
Nectar
After former Strategist editor (and current stomach-sleeper) Casey Lewis tested out Nectar’s extra-firm Memory-Foam Mattress, she reported that it has “just the right amount of give, in that it’s comfortable for me to move around on, but I don’t feel anyone (or anything) else moving around.” This Fourth of July, Nectar is offering up to 43 percent off its mattresses and will throw in a complimentary sheet set, mattress protector, and premium pillows (a $499 value) with any mattress purchase — no code required.
Nest Bedding
Nest Bedding is offering up to 20 percent off sitewide — no code required. That means you can save a couple hundred bucks on this hybrid foam-and-coil mattress that former Strategist senior editor Anthony Rotunno says offers “a smooth transition into the world of foam mattresses for sleepers who also crave some springiness.”
Nolah Mattress
The Nolah Original Mattress is constructed with temperature-neutral foam that the company says makes it cooler than any other memory-foam mattress on the market, and according to Strategist associate editor and notorious sweaty sleeper Jenna Milliner-Waddell, it lives up to its claim. “This memory foam does feel cooler to sleep on than other memory foam I’ve slept on,” she writes. “I can tell because I don’t get overheated as fast sleeping on the Nolah Original as I have in the past.” Through the end of July, the brand is offering up to $250 off its Original 10-inch mattress or $300 off its Signature 12-inch mattress, and $700 off the Evolution 15-inch mattress, all of which come with two free pillows. Plus, Strategist readers can take an additional $50 off their mattress purchase by entering the code STRAT50OFF at checkout.
PlushBeds
PlushBeds is offering $1,250 off its organic mattresses, plus the company is throwing in two organic pillows, an organic sheet set, and an organic protector with purchase. It is also taking 25 percent off all mattress toppers, pillows, and bedding. (We particularly like this ash-gray weighted blanket.) And, with the exclusive code STRAT100, Strategist readers can take an additional $100 off the purchase of any of those already on-sale mattresses or accessories.
Purple
Over at Purple, you can get $200 off mattresses, all of which are discounted at checkout. “Avowed side-sleeper” and former Strategist deputy editor Jason Chen says, “Purple’s anomalous materials are well-suited to those who sleep hot and hate foam.” To complete your new-bedroom setup, the company is also offering $300 off its Ascent Adjustable Base bed frame with each mattress purchase.
Saatva
As part of the brand’s July 4 sale, Saatva is taking up to $200 off any $1,000-plus purchase of its organic and ecofriendly mattresses, with no code necessary. If you spend $4,000 or more, you’ll receive $450 off. The brand’s classic option is our pick for those who could use extra lumbar support or who prefer a true firm mattress.
Serta
Now through July 11, Serta is offering $100 off its iComfort mattress, known for its breathable, temperature-regulating foam.
Tempur-Pedic
Hot sleepers can save $500 on any Tempur Breeze mattress, which the company says disperses your body heat throughout the night to keep you cool. The discount is applied automatically at checkout.
Tuft & Needle
Tuft & Needle — which makes mattresses that we’ve called major crowd-pleasers for foam-mattress lovers — is offering 15 percent off mattresses and 10 percent off organic jersey bedding, plus 20 percent off bundles, no code required.
WinkBeds
WinkBeds is giving customers $300 off any mattress this July 4. Features editor Katy Schneider praised the brand’s quality construction: “From top to bottom, these have a thin layer of foam (for comfiness), air springs (to keep things cool), a support pad (to keep your lumbar area well supported), and tempered steel coils (for pushback, and to keep the mattress from losing shape).”
Yogasleep
Exclusively for Strategist readers, Yogasleep is offering 20 percent off its foam Yogabed with the code STRAT20. According to the brand, the mattress evenly disperses your body weight to reduce pressure points as you sleep. If you don’t need a mattress, you can use the code HELLOSUMMER to get 15 percent off a Dohm noise machine, a favorite gadget of Strategist editors, therapists, and acupuncturists alike.
Zinus offers some of the best value for a mattress, full stop, and this July 4, its value is even better with a discount of up to 40 percent. Its Luxe collection is 15 percent off, including this green-tea memory-foam option.
