11 Things on Sale You’ll Actually Want to Buy: From Patagonia to Reformation

There’s still a lot of summer to finish up, but brands are starting to call it and put their end-of-season inventory on sale. Reformation and Patagonia are two such brands with discounts up to 40 percent. We also found a dentist-recommended electric toothbrush at Amazon, some very comfortable shoes for wedding guests, and a cache of good deals at Everlane.

Philips Sonicare electric toothbrushes are among our favorites here at the Strategist with a long and flat brush head that vibrates with sonic power to shake plaque and tartar off your teeth. This one comes with a travel case, and if deep purple isn’t your color, you can get it in white, black, pink, and navy.

This charger from Anker is strong enough to fully charge your laptop as well as your phone or tablet. And at less than an inch thick, it’s slim enough to tuck into a laptop case without adding too much bulk.

Converse high-tops — especially those with a platform and cushy insole — have been quick to sell out this summer, so we were pleasantly surprised to find these in just about every size and half-size at Shopbop’s shoe sale.

Wear these go-with-anything Castaner espadrilles at the next wedding on your calendar (and I can almost guarantee they’ll be more comfortable for dancing than your current heels).

If your white sneakers are looking a little worse for wear as we get closer to Labor Day, give yourself a little refresh with these woven raffia Keds.

Though Everlane isn’t expressly having a sale, we noticed a bunch of great deals — including this semi-sheer turtleneck in a subtle blue-and-white check for just $12. (You can check out more of our finds here.)

Patagonia’s taking 40 percent off dozens of past-season products, including this very Y2K trucker hat.

This retro-style fleece in a cozy sherpa is a classic Patagonia design, and it’s built to last. (I bought my first — and only — Retro-X fleece in 2009 at the Patagonia outlet in Freeport, Maine, and 13 years of regular wear later, it’s still going strong.)

This commuter-friendly roll-top backpack has side access to a 15-inch laptop sleeve and a little stash pocket for your keys and MetroCard.

Reformation’s annual sale started today, offering up to 40 percent off — like this not-too-trendy dress that I’m considering buying to wear to my friend’s wedding in September.

This is the sort of dream wrap dress that you can throw on to immediately look and feel pulled together.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
