As we mentioned last week, Amazon’s annual Holiday Beauty Sale is here, and there are lots of good deals to be had. That includes these bath salts from Ahava, which we’ve said make an excellent gift for the teacher in your life. As Kate, a music teacher in Boston, puts it, “It’s nice when parents give a gift that says, ‘Thank you for spending so much time caring about my child — we’d love to know that you are taking some time for yourself now.’” The bath salts contain soothing lavender extracts; the salt granules are from the Dead Sea and are said to have nourishing properties. Whether that’s true or not, it’s still relaxing and makes for a more compelling story than the Dr. Teal’s you picked up at your local grocery store. Typically, a jar of these salts would run you $24, but the sale brings them down to $17, or 30 percent off. We consider this a very good deal, given that a salt-infused bath at a spa would be double, if not triple the price.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
