There’s been a lot of attention on Sephora’s Savings Event, but we noticed that Ulta Beauty is having its own Spring Haul Event, with lots of discounts on Strategist-approved items — including many skin-care staples that you can’t find at Sephora. I also found a cache of nice-looking sneakers at Nordstrom and a couple deals at Shopbop’s Style Event (which ends later tonight, so don’t dillydally).

I love the subtle mountain detailing along the edge of these trail sneakers for him. Plus, they’re water-repellent — so perfect for mud season.

And for her, some lightweight mesh sneakers with sturdy Vibram soles for hiking, running, or just walking the dog.

It’s rare to find on-sale Nikes that are still available in most sizes — let along Air Force 1s that are under $100. So I don’t expect this deal to last long.

This is a Black Friday–level deal on this water flosser — our pick for the best cordless model.

This air fryer can crisp up to three pounds of French fries at once. But even if you’re not doing that sort of volume, the extra-large basket means there’s a lot of surface area for even cooking.

There are lots of Strategist-approved items on sale as part of Ulta’s Spring Haul Event — starting with our best overall mascara. It lifts and lengthens but never clumps.

You should be wearing sunscreen all of the time, but now is a particularly good moment to stock-up, before the backyard barbecues and Prospect Park picnics start in earnest. This is our favorite spray sunscreen (and the one I grab most often, because I don’t mind the scent).

If you like your morning routine to be as simple as possible, you might enjoy this lightweight face sunscreen from La Roche-Posay. According to one of our beauty writers, Tembe Denton-Hurst, the texture is more like a serum than a cream, and it’s also got vitamins C and E for extra skin-care benefits.

I, a woman in my 30s, use retinol about twice a week — so I am considering adding this deeply hydrating balm to the routine to combat the dryness it causes, especially around my nose. (Our writer Rachael Griffiths says it’s the only thing that soothed her skin through a retinol purge.)

If you ever wanted to know what the editor of the Strategist smells like, it’s this cedarwood-y deodorant.

When you spend at least $200 on select items at Shopbop, you’ll get 15 percent off — and the discount increases the more you shop. So that means this floaty linen dress from Reformation is at least 15 percent off.

Here’s a Bottega-esque bag in a go-with-anything green.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
