Labor Day weekend has come and gone, but a lot of the sales are still going for another day or two. This year’s have been much better than last year’s, with several retailers, like Madewell and J.Crew, offering sitewide deals so you can prep your wardrobe for fall with jeans and jackets. Also of note: Brooklinen’s offering 25 percent off everything (typically it only offers up to 20 percent off). And, of course, there are tons of Labor Day mattress sales, many of which got even better on Labor Day and are still going today.
Below, I’ve organized all the best deals alphabetically by merchant, and I’ve noted when the sale ends wherever possible. (Some sales don’t have stated end dates, but I expect most will end in the next few days, so don’t dillydally.) If you want to stay in the loop for all my sales coverage (including subscriber-only deals), be sure to sign up for our email newsletter.
Amazon
Amazon is still price-matching a lot of Labor Day sales from other brands, including Theragun’s oft-recommended massage guns.
Athleta
Fall essentials are 25 percent off at Athleta through September 3. The attractive ankle pants (that come in sizes from 00 through 26) from our 1,000-senior survey are in the mix.
Ban.do
Everything is still 25 percent off with the code VERYCOOL. I found plenty of Baggu on sale, kitschy home décor, and Joanna Goddard’s favorite socks.
Brooklinen
Everything at Brooklinen is 25 percent off through September 4, which is an even better discount than it usually offers during holidays (20 percent off).
Buffy
Buffy is still taking 20 percent off sitewide. The Cloud has been one of our favorite comforters for years, and sleep writer Amelia Jerden recommends the cooling down-alternative pillows if you’re a hot sleeper.
The Citizenry
Everything at the Citizenry is 20 percent off through September 3. (It’s the first time I’ve seen the brand offer a sitewide sale in a long time.) My fellow writers called out some of their favorites from the sale. Strategist associate editor Jenna Milliner-Waddell says she’s been loving the brand’s new percale sheets (she’s also a fan of the stonewashed French flax linen sheets); writer Lauren Ro recommends this set of hinoki side tables; and senior writer Liza Corsillo told me she’s been eyeing this lumbar pillow.
The Company Store
The Company Store, maker of our favorite down comforter and other bedding items, has a tiered Labor Day sale: Use code LDW24 to take 25 percent off orders over $75 and 35 percent off orders over $400.
Cotopaxi
Last season’s styles are up to 50 percent off. I’m definitely eyeing some of these fleeces!
Cozy Earth
Here’s an exclusive deal just for our readers: Use the code STRATEGIST to take 35 percent off sitewide at Cozy Earth.
Crate & Barrel
Crate & Barrel is offering up to 60 percent off nearly 2,000 items through September 4. I found lots of tableware — like elegant wineglasses and an acacia-wood serving bowl — and some luxe décor like velvet throw pillows.
Drybar
Drybar is taking 30 percent off sitewide for Labor Day, bringing the price of its double-shot blow-dryer brush — the one our beauty writer Dominique Pariso named the best of the best — down to $109. And if you have shorter, thinner hair, Pariso suggests Drybar’s smaller model, the Single Shot.
Dusen Dusen
For Labor Day, Dusen Dusen is having a sample sale: Discounts on robes, bedding, kitchen linens, towels, and more start at 30 percent and go up to 70 percent off.
Gap
Select styles are 40 to 60 percent off, while already-on-sale items are an extra 60 percent off at checkout, through September 3.
J.Crew
For its Long-weekend Event, J.Crew is offering 40 percent off sitewide through September 3, and already-on-sale items are an extra 60 percent off with the code WEEKEND. Our favorite men’s white oxford is $53, and the PJs Ottessa Moshfegh’s favorite cotton PJs are less than $60. And especially of note, items from the Maryam Nassir Zadeh X J.Crew collab are part of the sale! Just note that they’re all final sale.
Lululemon
Lululemon’s We Made Too Much Sale is back. Like most Lululemon sales, the size and color options are pretty limited on sports bras and leggings, but I did find some bags and other athleisure that are cute and in stock.
Made In
Made In’s End of Summer Sale has up to 25 percent off lots of pans and cooking sets, including our pick for the best DTC stainless-steel skillet.
Madewell
Through September 3, Madewell is offering a few different deals with the code LONGWEEKEND: Fall essentials are 25 percent off; sale styles are an extra 40 percent off; and select on-sale denim is an additional 50 percent off.
Mattresses
Like every other major holiday, Labor Day is a good time for a great deal on mattresses. There are so many, in fact, that our sleep writer, Amelia Jerden, has rounded up all the best Labor Day mattress sales. (And you can find some of the highlights below).
Nordstrom
It’s technically just called Nordstrom’s “Summer Sale,” but I’d be remiss not to mention it here. Tons of new apparel, home décor, and beauty products (including rarely-on-sale brands like Augustinus Bader) are up to 60 percent off.
Schoolhouse
Everything at Schoolhouse is 20 percent off, and already-on-sale items are an extra 20 percent off. I found lots of funky table lamps and patterned bedding.
Selfmade
Everything at Selfmade is 40 percent off. We especially like the brand’s safflower-oil-based lubricant formulated with arnica flower and copaiba balsam, which increase blood flow and ease any discomfort.
Shopbop
It’s not technically a Labor Day sale, but there are thousands of end-of-summer (and some early fall) styles for up to 70 percent off. Fashion writer Ambar Pardilla pulled some of her top picks below.
Solawave
Solawave’s hugely popular LED skin-care devices can help address stubborn dark spots and calm inflammation. Everything is 35 percent off with the code LABORDAY35. (That’s is an even bigger discount than last year’s sale.)
Steve Madden
For its End of Summer Sale, Steve Madden is offering up to 50 percent off hundreds of shoes, bags, and apparel with the code WEEKEND.
Wayfair
Wayfair is offering up to 70 percent off thousands of home items — though you’ll probably want to to cross-check prices on other sites to ensure you’re getting a good deal. (Don’t worry, I’ve vetted the picks below.)
West Elm
Hundreds of home items — including, surprisingly, some Halloween décor — are up to 60 percent off for the long weekend. Plus, everything in the clearance section is an extra 30 percent off with the code LABORDAY.
