What Brie Larson Can’t Live Without

If you’re like us, you’ve probably wondered what famous people add to their carts. Not the JAR brooch and Louis XV chair, but the hair spray and the electric toothbrush. We asked actress Brie Larson — who recently partnered with Nintendo about the blanket, jeans, and snacks she can’t live without.

If I’m not wearing pajamas, I’m wearing jeans and a T-shirt. Levi’s are just a classic that I can dress up or dress down. I like mine high-waisted and bootcut. These fit right and, because they’re classics, last forever. They always look effortlessly cool.

I learned about Hiball energy drinks from the Captain Marvel stunt department. They’re really clean. I drink the sugar-free ones — they’re just sparkling water with caffeine and guarana and other things that give you energy. I’m not super-concerned with being amped up throughout the day right now, but when I’m getting in work mode, one of these is so helpful. I have a mini-fridge full of them — I get the variety pack, and I love the grapefruit flavor.

Hedley & Bennett teamed up with a doctor to create this mask. It has an insert where you can put a filter, which makes that added protection even more accessible. You can buy filters to put in, but you can also cut up a filter from your vacuum and put that in. The fabric they use for the masks is durable, and all the brand’s stuff is very well made. The mask fits snugly on my face, no gap or anything, and has adjustable straps that make it even easier to get the perfect fit. I think I have it in every color.

My boyfriend got one as a birthday present about two years ago, and I stole it from him. I became so obsessed; I have like five now. They’re all over my house. We first heard about it from our 13-year-old neighbor, who gave us a hot tip. I have a robe from the brand, too, and if I want to get real crazy, I’ll wear the robe and use the blanket.

They’re supersoft and comfortable and go with everything. I got my first pair a couple years ago. I started wearing them when I was traveling a lot, because they’re fully functional as a shoe but they kind of have a slipper vibe. Now that I’m basically just finding new ways to dress up pajamas, they’re perfect. They mold to your feet the more you wear them.

I actually cannot live without Dropbox. I started a YouTube channel and would not be able to get files and footage to my editor without it. It’s a big part of my everyday life.

I eat mostly vegan, but I also follow my gut — if I was ever going to call myself anything, it would be “flexitarian.” I love chips and a puff and vegan-cheese-flavored anything, so I eat these way too much. They’re clean and taste great. Whether I’m watching a movie or I’m playing Fortnite, they’re always around.

I’ve had one of these pens with me at all times for the last decade. I journal every day, and if I’m taking notes, I like to use different colors for different things. I use my phone to organize a lot of stuff, but there’s something about writing information down by hand that helps me take it in and hold it.

Supersoft and a really beautiful, bright color. I have so many pairs of Rodarte sweats. They wear really well and get softer and softer the more that you wear them. The hoodies are particularly awesome: The hoods themselves, I find, are like extra large or something. They kind of cover the head in a way that I imagine the hood on an elf’s cape would. I like the effect of that.

I’ve never lived without a Nintendo console. The Switch brings me community, especially right now, when I can’t physically be around so many people I love. I’ll visit friends’ and family members’ islands in Animal Crossing: New Horizons or go into battle-royal mode in Fortnite. It’s also a way that I decompress and get some me time in. I get to escape to fantasy worlds that inspire me. My favorite games right now have been pretty much equal parts Animal Crossing, Fortnite, and Ring Fit Adventure. No matter what happens with my day or mood, those three are the perfect elixir.
