Brat summer is over. Sweat Tour autumn came and went. But for the most die-hard fans, loving Charli XCX is a year-round endeavor. While seven Grammy nominations for Brat (not to mention the title “Mother of the Year” in Grindr’s Unwrapped) are both exciting “gifts” for Charli’s Angels, I wanted to find the best actual gifts to give the Charli superfan in your life. So I spoke with people who run Charli XCX fan accounts, did a social-media deep dive, and searched near and far online to round up the coolest, funniest, and brattiest gifts for Charli XCX fans — whether they’ve been a fan since “Boom Clap” or jumped on the brat bandwagon this summer.

$25 and under

The anonymous poster behind the Charli fan account @xcxnews recommended Brat physical media of pretty much any album variant; the Brat remix CD or a Brat cassette are fun choices if you’re looking for a more affordable alternative to vinyl. Even if they don’t have the tape or CD player to actually listen to the album, it’s a great display-worthy memento.

If your Angel is a raver, arm them with one of Gay Fan Club’s Brat-inspired fans to bring next time they go out dancing.

A (temporary) lower-back tattoo. Pair with lacy black panties with a little bow for maximum effect.

So they can light up with the light of their life.

Another recommendation from @xcxnews is this re-creation of the T-shirt that Charli wore for her iconic Boiler Room set back in March. It would be a great “if you know, you know” gift.

For the person who had the “girl so confusing” remix on blast all year.

For the person who blasts “Vroom Vroom” anytime they drive somewhere.

A back issue of New York’s Charli XCX cover issue (August 26/September 8, 2024) is just $8 and would make the perfect keepsake for memorializing brat summer.

[Editor’s note: Click “browse back issues,” then select “2024 back issues” in the dropdown menu to find and buy Charli’s cover issue.]

According to @xcxnews, Charli is one of influencer turned pop star Addison Rae’s closest friends in the music industry, and because “The fans really support this friendship, they have started to support Addison’s music too.” Alas, the most ideal Addison Rae gift — a vinyl pressing of her recent single “Diet Pepsi” — is now sold out (though you can still find it on eBay and other resale sites, if you’re willing to pay a hefty markup). However, Addison Rae’s perfume would make a good less-expensive (and easier to find) gift for the Charli/now–Addison Rae fan.

The wired headphones that Charli-collaborator The Dare told us he can’t live without would make a great gift for the audiophile Charli fan. “There’s sort of debate in the audiophile world about Bluetooth and audio quality, but I feel very secure knowing that the audio is coming right through the cable,” he says.

According to the poster behind another Charli fan account, @closetxcx, Laneige’s popular lip mask is a must-have since Charli is known for being a huge fan of the product (and is now a Laneige partner!).

$50 and under

If you have a slightly higher budget for physical media, spring for the one of the Brat vinyls.

Or for a little throwback, @xcxnews recommends the Pop 2 five-year anniversary vinyl edition. “Pop 2 is definitely Charli’s most loved record from the hard-core fans and the fifth-anniversary edition looks, just, so cool,” they say.

They also pointed me toward this phone case Charli created in collaboration with Wildflowers, which is Brat green with an emoticon heart.

A modern concert essential, but make it Brat.

Actress and TikTok creator Kelley Heyer’s “Apple” dance was a huge part of Brat summer; it started as a TikTok dance trend that was eventually performed by Charli herself, ultimately becoming a dedicated part of the Sweat Tour. Prior to her “Apple” fame, Heyer was also known on TikTok for her “subway shirts” — baggy T-shirts worn to cover up your revealing outfit while en route to an event on public transit. Over the summer, she released this Brat-green edition.

$16

Julia Fox — the actress and model referenced in Charli’s iconic “I’m so Julia” lyric — has been a fixture of the Brat era, from her cameo as one of the “it” girls in the “360” music video to doing the “Apple” dance last month during Charli’s Times Square takeover. She released a memoir last year, detailing her own difficult and often messy path to becoming the star she is now. It’s not all fun and brattiness — Fox discusses some tough topics like abuse and assault — but it would make an interesting read for anyone looking to learn more about this brat icon.

Many Charli fans also love hyperpop pioneer Sophie, the late musician Charli collaborated with on many of her most iconic songs and the subject of the song “So I” on Brat. A vinyl pressing of her Grammy-award winning album Oil of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides would make an excellent gift.

Charli wore the black version of this cheeky OGBFF T-shirt during the Sweat Tour. It’s almost completely sold out in black, but the white colorway is still available in many sizes. OGBFF has tons of other similarly bratty tees, too, if you can’t find the right size for this particular one.

A simplified going-out top (or loungewear) for the 365 party girl in your life.

I especially like these Urban Outfitters T-shirts referencing different songs on Brat (“Everything Is Romantic,” “Guess,” and “Spring Breakers”), because the style and colors stand out among all the Brat-green merch.

Wear it in the house, wear it in the club. Wherever they’re bumpin’ that.

As @closetxcs puts it: “‘Von Dutch.’ The song. Y2K. Brat. Duh.” No further explanation needed.

$100 and under

Ian Charms designed the iconic “Gay Son” and “Thot Daughter” shirts Charli and Troye Sivan wore during the Sweat Tour. Sadly, they are mostly sold out at the moment (only a few size small and XL “Gay Son” tanks remain, though an Ian Charms representative told me they intend to restock soon — you can sign up for restock notifications on the product page). But several other shirts from the collaboration are still available and would make great gifts, including this XCX crop tee and this pink baby tee.

Or for those who are more brat in spirit than fashion, give them Daydreamer’s comfy oversize long-sleeve Brat T-shirt — perfect for cozying up this winter.

The Sweat Tour look was all about sexy in a messy way, exemplified by the DIY trend of spray-painting a lacy bra and panties over a T-shirt. For someone who loves the look but wants a more permanent version, I like this Fashion Brand company tee.

Over $100

Or for something a little more upscale, buy them one of these very Sweat Tour pieces from Kenza Iatrides or Vaquera.

The Sweat Tour is officially over. But Charli already has several shows planned for a Brat Tour in 2025. Most of the dates are international, so tickets and travel will undoubtedly be a splurge. But she is also playing the Barclays Center four nights in a row at the end of April and beginning of May, and resale tickets are still available.

For another splurgy gift, give them the sunglasses that “defined Charli’s sartorial landscape during the brat era,” says @closetxcx, adding that “Owning these would be owning a little piece of Charli history.”

A very bratty going-out top, as seen on Charli herself at her very brat birthday party.

[Editor’s note: Sia Arnika lists its prices in Euros, so this cost is an estimation of USD.]

“This collaboration almost makes too much sense and I want everything,” @closetxcx says of Charli’s campaign with Acne Studios, so they’d be thrilled to receive any piece from it as a gift. Prices range from $230 to $3,100, but accessories like a Brat-green scarf, a padlock necklace, and a pair of Y2K sunglasses fall on the slightly more attainable side.
