If you haven’t already shopped Madewell’s Insider Event, now’s the time. Everything is 25 percent off through March 25, meaning there are only a few days left to save on new arrivals and tons of already marked-down items. Since Madewell’s range of wardrobe staples — including jeans, T-shirts, and tote bags — is so vast, I’ve rounded up the items that are actually worth buying here. You’ll find several Strategist-approved pieces, like our favorite work bag for women and the drapey wide-leg trousers favored by Victoria Justice, plus many seasonal pieces that are just too good to pass up.

If you’ve never shopped Madewell’s bi-annual promotion, take note: You can only access the sitewide sale if you’re signed up for the retailer’s loyalty program. (Membership is free and just requires an email address.) And as always, if you want to get ahead of more upcoming steals, sign up for our newsletter here.

Women’s Tops

You can never have enough striped button-downs — and this one has an oversize but not-too-boxy silhouette.

I’m a big fan of the pointy polo collar and V neckline on this somewhat sporty, somewhat delicate pointelle-knit shirt.

This charming cardigan tank also comes in a white-and-navy striped pattern for the nautically inclined.

A single-breasted blazer made of 100 percent linen that would be ideal for when the office A/C starts to crank up.

Red alert: This rarely on sale leather jacket is finally available for less. And the vintage-inspired finish makes it feel especially on trend.

Women’s Bottoms

$50

I’ve got my eye on this pair of trousers — they’re made from a linen-cotton blend and are the ones that actress Victoria Justice owns in multiple colors.

These are Madewell’s signature vintage jeans but in the wide-leg style. They’re already on sale, so you can score them for more than $50 off right now.

This especially comfortable cropped cut is available in “tall” and “taller” inseam lengths, which is why we crowned it our best jeans overall for tall women. (If you’re not on the taller side, you can also get them in standard and petite inseams.)

We can’t pass up a below-the-knee slip skirt in a shade called “Etruscan Clay.”

Dresses and Swim

Dress season is neigh, and we predict this floral printed number will be heavy in our closet rotations.

I spotted another midi option that’s just as breezy as the dress above but even more versatile thanks to its solid color and higher neckline.

Who doesn’t love a shirt dress? This one will get a lot of mileage — whether you wear it to a coffee date or your cousin’s graduation.

Throw this sleek polka-dotted suit in your carry-on for your spring-break trip (or store it away for summer — you’ll thank us come June).

If two-pieces are more your thing, try this especially sleek black number. But don’t dillydally as sizes are limited.

Women’s Shoes

One of our favorite pairs of loafers, these have the perfect amount of chunkiness without being so trendy that they’ll go out of style in the fall.

These under-$100 ballet flats “feel like socks on your feet,” according to content creator Ella McFadin, who adds that they’re great for commuting, thanks to the sturdy elastic strap and extra cushioning.

Designed with woven straps and lightweight padded soles, these slides will be handy for summer trips — or just your usual stroll around the neighborhood.

If your current black ankle boots need an update, here’s a pair with textured patent leather that will take you right into next fall.

Accessories

We’ve been fans of Madewell’s medium transport tote — our favorite work bag for women — for years and years. It’s a workhorse that can haul everything from laptops to water bottles, plus all your other daily necessities.

Here’s the same tote, but in a gorgeous woven style. (One Strategist writer already has it and loves it just as much as the original.)

If you prefer a mini-bag, this under-$100 half-moon-shaped one is an especially good option. It’s actually a twofer: The detachable top handle can be replaced with the crossbody strap.

And here’s a delightfully western-inspired belt with chunky silver hardware that makes it a touch more interesting than your average black belt.

Swap your favorite fuzzy bucket for this straw one.

No less than two Strategist editors own this subtly sparkly tennis necklace that’s studded with bezel-set Cubic Zirconia stones.

Finally trade in your bulky wallet for this sleek card case that restaurateur Emily Hyland has owned for years.

Men’s Tops

Over in the men’s section, I spied the midweight French terry sweatshirt that my boyfriend owns in four colors, including this beige shade.

And another one of his go-to’s: this surprisingly versatile number that can easily be dressed up or dressed down.

Madewell Men’s Relaxed Tee
$30
$30

If there ever were a time to refresh your white-tee collection, this is it. And we think this white crewneck T-shirt is the one for the job.

Men’s Bottoms

These are on sale for more than half off, which is the best deal you’ll get on men’s Madewell jeans.

Or go for these workwear-inspired straight-leg pants with reinforced stitching and plenty of pockets to spare.

With shorts weather approaching, consider this breezy pair. They come in seven colors — wear them for errands, to the beach, or at the gym.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
