For this week’s Don’t Dillydally, we’ve rounded up a range of newly released products we’re particularly excited about, including Uniqlo’s latest winter collaboration of cozy knits, the best-looking drinks fridge we’ve ever seen, and some very nice new tableware for the holidays.
Bobbi Brown may be most famous for her makeup, but she and her husband also own a hotel in New Jersey called the George. The pair teamed up with Williams Sonoma to create a line of home goods inspired by the space. There are striped textiles plus leather-wrapped trays, mirrors, frames, games like dominoes and chess (great gifts!), and more. All come in tones of deep red and royal blue, many adorned with dogs (yes, it’s a dog-friendly hotel).
Bag and accessories designer Anya Hindmarch has collaborated with Uniqlo to put out a cozy winter collection featuring classic silhouettes (in some of their nicer materials, I might add), adorned with some cute unexpected details. It’s available for preorder now to ship later in the month.
Editor’s note: This collection is listed in pounds, so the price shown is an approximate conversion in U.S. dollars.
Rocco is a relatively new addition to the beverage-fridge space and is now out with a limited-edition green color. It features reversible racks and modular shelves so you can store wine alongside other drinks, and it is impressively good-looking. “It’s thoughtfully imagined for everyday life with rounded edges and a friendly silhouette, which make it feel really approachable,” says Strategist writer and home-design expert Lauren Ro.
We’ve written about the British clothing brand Rixo before (“a favorite with the Instagram influencer set,” as Strategist writer Ambar Pardilla says) — and now the brand has introduced home textiles: cloth napkins, tablecloths, and pillow covers, each in the design seen above in a couple of color options.
Here’s another tabletop collection, this one from Ulla Johnson and Cabana. It’s made up of a nice mix of items, with some warm-toned textiles, as well as stunning holiday serveware like hand-painted, scallop-edged dessert plates, bronze candlesticks, and a mother-of-pearl caviar set.
Free People’s latest collection is inspired by the Paramount show Yellowstone and features a range of clothing with a western bent: T-shirts and hoodies with images of horses and sprawling landscapes, studded denim and leather pieces, plenty of cowboy boots and hats, and more. It’s pretty extensive, so worth taking a thorough look, whether you care about the fate of the Dutton family or not.
If you’re still on the Advent calendar hunt, consider this not-very-traditional offering from Diptyque. It’s a taper candle in the shape of a Christmas tree, with one layer meant to be burned per day. The scent is Siberian pine, resin, cedar, and patchouli.
Fazeek, known for its playful glassware, has created a pair of delicate, scalloped flute glasses to celebrate the upcoming launch of cabinet company Mustard’s glass collection. The stems come in Mustard’s signature yellow and pink colors.
We’ve espoused the wonders of Muji too many times to count, so it goes without saying that we’re very excited about the U.S. introduction of its more luxe Labo line. It will come out with seasonal drops starting now and features streamlined women’s and men’s basics in high-quality materials like cashmere and wool. The price point — though higher than that of its regular clothing — is still plenty affordable.
Reformation just released a limited-edition collection of knits in collaboration with London-based clothing and accessories brand Shrimps. There are several sweaters, as well as some fun holiday goodies — like coasters you can buy as a stocking stuffer, and a dog sweater you can wear to match your pup at your annual holiday party — thrown in for good measure.
Hanky Panky makes a very comfortable thong, now available in two decades’ worth of Pantone’s Color of the Year (starting with 2000’s Cerulean blue and going all the way through this year’s Peach Fuzz). You can buy individual underwear in the shades you like, or opt for a box of ten or 27.
The brand that makes our very favorite carry-on luggage has introduced the Cosmic Collection. It features its hardside suitcases wrapped in a high-density, glossy glitter shell in silver and light blue, plus a new accessory to go alongside. The Train Case is a versatile organizer that can be used for cosmetics, hair tools, tech accessories, camera gear, and more. It comes in the new finishes as well as several of its regular matte colors.
The Strategist is designed to surface useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape.
