For this week’s Don’t Dillydally, we’ve rounded up a range of newly released products we’re particularly excited about, including a nice-looking trick-or-treat tote, a birthday-cake-scented hair mask, and nontoxic, biodegradable laundry detergent.
Bandit, maker of running gear for the McCarren Park set (and my personal favorite shorts), released its fall collection last Friday with new silhouettes and classics in fresh colorways. Notably, its stuff sells out pretty fast, but there are still some nice options available, like this new top with six pockets for your phone, keys, and plenty of gels.
Nike x MoMA
Nike’s Everyday socks are classic for a reason: They’re cushiony, breathable, and go with everything. Now, you can get them in lots of fun two-tone colors exclusively at the MoMA Design Store.
Bandolier, a brand that makes purse-like phone cases, teamed up with Alanis Morissette this week. The limited-edition drop features the musician’s lyrics on the straps, and a portion of the proceeds goes to Equality Now, a human-rights organization dedicated to gender equality.
DIFF Eyewear collaborated ahead of the sequel’s release and includes frames inspired by Beetlejuice himself, Lydia, Astrid, and Delia Deetz.
Nontoxic-cleaning-supplies brand Branch Basics, which makes our favorite soap concentrate, released a laundry-detergent powder last Thursday. Like the rest of its line, it’s made without harmful preservatives and GMOs, and it’s biodegradable. I’ve been testing it out myself and noticed that my skin is less irritated, but my clothes come out looking brand new.
Luxury hair-care brand Oribe (beloved by designer Suzy Kondi and Buzz Bissinger) came out with a rinse treatment today. It’s meant to be applied in place of a conditioner and left on for one minute before rinsing off. The result is glossy, hydrated hair that supposedly lasts up to 15 washes.
In other hair-care news, Briogeo is ringing in a decade with a vanilla-birthday-cake version of its Don’t Despair Repair mask (a.k.a. Rio’s better–than–Christophe Robin hair mask). It’s a limited-edition drop, so if you’re eyeing it, make sure you don’t hesitate.
On the makeup front, MAC released a concealer version of its Studio Radiance Foundation, which has been recommended to us for sweatproof foundation and foundation for mature skin. The concealer comes in 44 shades and claims to have buildable coverage, all-day wear, and hydrating and brightening skin-care benefits.
Printmaking company Rifle Paper released its Halloween collection last week with everything you need to host a themed party: stationery, tableware, and fabrics that could be made into pillowcases, tablecloths, and more. And here’s a cute canvas tote that can be used for trick-or-treating.
If you weren’t able to snag that 12-foot skeleton, Funboy came out with lawn décor shaped like pumpkins and snakelike tentacles. Each inflatable piece comes with customizable remote-controlled LED lights, so they’re easy to set up and store once spooky season is over.
