Senior writer Liza Corsillo has an almost-2-year-old. One of his favorite toys is Little Tikes Story Dream Machine, a retro-looking projector and audio player that she and her husband got as a baby step toward letting their son watch TV. She likes it for its simplicity, noting, “It’s basically a mini slide projector that plays read-aloud books.”
Corsillo likes that it can be used as a nightlight and sound machine come bedtime. Although the Sesame Street version she has is currently out of stock, we also like this one that features Little Golden Book classics The Poky Little Puppy, Tawny Scrawny Lion, and The Saggy Baggy Elephant.
