If you’re like us, you’ve probably wondered what famous people add to their carts. Not the JAR brooch and Louis XV chair, but the hand sanitizer and the electric toothbrush. We asked blogger and designer Justin Saunders of JJJJound which items he can’t live without.
This is the perfect size because eight ounces is the exact amount of coffee I like. I don’t keep these cups at home necessarily, but we do have some at the studio for coffee. It reminds me of the coffee I get every morning from this coffee shop called Lili & Oli in Montreal.
What do I love about these? You can buy many at a time, and they’re always in stock. They’re just thick enough that you can draw with them. And they start off fine point, and they change over time as far as what you use them for. I take notes with them, too.
These are absolutely essential because I obviously need them to see. I got them a while ago because I tried them on and liked them, so I got them in every color. I can break them or lose them and have extra pairs. Now, I have five of them. It’s also because you never know when they’re not going to be produced anymore.

It’s a great measuring tool. Measuring ends up being something I do a lot of, whether it’s boxes, or products, or the heights and lengths of things. It’s on my desk always, and I use it all the time. I could use a ruler, but there’s something compact about the Stanley 12 I like. It’s an iconic item. And if I lose it, I have to look for it because I know I’ll need it soon.
I made it because I needed it. Making 18-ounce tote bags is a difficult endeavor, and I wanted to put these out for a long time, and I got my act together — I have to say, I’m pleased. The sizing of them is perfect for my use, and the fact that it’s a big bag with short handles makes it perfect for travel and day-to-day use. I definitely produced them selfishly.

I think this stapler just looks good. It’s an homage to vintage staplers. And it’s like a great paperweight also. It’s super available and easy to get. I love things that I can continuously buy. I think when things fall out of stock, it’s disappointing. That’s why I fall in love with items that are standard issue.
Bald-head problems. I asked somebody who cuts hair once which was the best clipper to maintain a short hairstyle, and that’s what they told me to get. I wasn’t quite sure what brand to go for, but I never looked back. I use it maybe twice or three times a week to keep my hair this short.
